A few months ago I have opened my own company. It is not a big firm. I would say it is pretty small. We operate only in our local area and we provide 1 of those services which are pretty needed as everyone uses occasionally. There is only 1 problem with that branch – the competition is really tough. Furthermore, all competitors provide the same services for the same price. In this branch, there is no place for original services and its modifications.

There is also no possibility to leave a price as it is already on the brink of profitability. Consequently, as you can see there was not many possibilities. Even if the service was amazing and an employee was really nice and helpful, there was a high chance that our client won’t remember our name in a few months, when need to use that kind of service again. Previously we even arranged a tiny research that confirmed this! Therefore, after many conversations and brainstorming in the office, we made a decision about 2 crucial things.

First of all, we need to to have a name which is extremely easy to remember so clients can easily recall it always when they need to use such service again. Nonetheless, this is not so easy as it may seem to be. Most of the companies possess rather easy names. The main problem is that easy doesn’t certainly equals to easy to recall. Therefore, we have made a decision to choose just 1 word. This word had to be directly connected with our industry and services. As a matter of fact, it is literally the first word that appears in your mind when you wonder about that type of services.

Second, we decided to create banners. But this was not only creating banners. Many companies have banners but this doesn’t naturally mean that clients remember them and are able to recognize them. As I wrote, our aim was that our customers entirely remember us. So, we didn’t try to assume how to design a successful banner.
